is a beloved area community theatre personality both on and off stage. He likes to travel but spent the last year cancelling trips because of Covid-19. “My mini dachshund, Gretchen, was a great dog and one of the smartest I've ever had. If I teased her, she would snort and walk away. If there was a large dog coming, she would stand between me and it. I really miss her.”

is a homeschooling mom from Red Lion. She would have loved dressing in medieval attire and participating in the dancing. When she was a child she had a boston terrier named Max.

is a 6th grade homeschooler from Red Lion. He likes football, XBox, swimming and Legos. His first experience walking a dog came recently with our director Diane Crews’ dog DD. He describes DD as “very kind, lovable and caring” and he likes her alot.

is an 8th grade homeschooler from Red Lion. About medieval times she says that she would not have enjoyed the lack of hygiene. “Other than maybe the wealthy, everyone would have been very stinky.”

Lawrence B. Detterville (Master Greyson)

is an Operations Coordinator from North Potomac, MD. He likes tennis, horseback riding and baseball. His family dog Nippy, a mixed breed favoring a lab, was the source of much joy and companionship when he was a young boy. Even when Nippy went missing, he managed to find his way back to Lawrence for a touching reunion.

is a 9th grade homeschooler from Dover. In addition to acting, she loves to sing. “I currently have a dog named Sailor who is like a Fidelio to me. Even though Princess Belinda hates dogs, my dog in real life is my best friend.”

Quinton Laughman (Lord Elmondo/Master Eiman)

is a Mental Health Social Worker from York who has been involved in lots of shows, six with TAFE. He would not have enjoyed the lack of sanitation in medieval times. “Growing up I loved the dogs on PBS, Clifford, Martha, Ruff Ruffman, and, of course, Wishbone. They were such an integral part of my learning.”

is in 9th grade at York County School of Technology. This is her first show with TAFE. She likes to read, write, and enjoy being outside. Unlike her character in Fidelio, she currently has two dogs that are her love and that she would do anything for.

is a 2nd grade homeschooler who lives in Pittsburgh. She likes reading, singing, Legos and Pokemon. Since she “loves bread,” her favorite thing about medieval times would be having bread all the time. She used to like spending time with her friend’s dog Chewie before he moved to Kansas.

is a stay at home mom from Pittsburgh who usually likes cats better than dogs; but, there was this friend’s Saint Bernard named Maggie she knew when she was growing up. “She was so sweet and I loved lying beside her and burying my face in her fur.”

is a 3rd grader who lives in North Carolina and enjoys dancing. She wouldn’t have wanted to be around people with swords in the middle ages. Her cousin’s dog Dallas is playful, funny and eats people’s food!

is a retired theatre technical director who lives in Dover. Our play’s hero, who plays a dog so convincingly, likes bicycling and traveling. “We got our black lab Treasure as a puppy after my daughter Mary was attacked by a dog. Everyone loved Treasure and it worked; Mary is not afraid of dogs.”

is a retired librarian who lives in State College. About dogs she says: “We've had three standard poodles and loved all of them. Our current red standard is named Clifford (because he's a big red dog!) and is very talkative. When he speaks he often sounds like Chewbacca of Star Wars fame, so he makes us laugh a lot.”

is in 5th grade at Shallow Brook Intermediate School in Manchester. Her favorite pastimes are playing Roblox, acting, painting, and drawing. “My neighbor's dog, Zoe, is very kind. I love to play with her because she is helping me to train to get my own dog. Zoe is a pug.”

is a Customer Service Representative who lives in Chicago, IL. She loves to read, bake, cook, and also enjoys acting, modeling and Salsa dancing. “I am in love with the castles, dresses, and royalty of medieval times.”

is in 1st grade at 10th Street Elementary School, Oakmont, PA. She likes art, cooking, Girl Scouts, and riding bikes. “I love dogs so much that I want to be a vet when I grow up. I had a boxer and I remember him being the best dog because he was so loyal and fun to play with.”

who lives in York, describes herself as “blissfully retired and playing with antiques and my sewing machine.” Her favorite thing about medieval times would have been “all the fresh air and exercise, and being close to the land with no artificial ingredients in the food.” Their current dog, a shekita named Champ, “looks like a wolf, acts like a teddy bear, and has magnificently enriched our lives since he adopted us 5 years ago.”

is a “Computer Guy” from Brogue. He likes to play drums and keyboards, he sings, and loves doing sound for shows. “When I was around 5 yrs old, we had a huge Great Dane (big dog) and a Schnauzer (little dog) at the same time! The little dog ruled the house - it was lots of fun watching them play with each other.”

is a familiar face to TAFE productions. She’s a homemaker from York whose hobbies are football, reading, writing, and theatre. Her least favorite thing about living in medieval times would have been the lack of baths! Her favorite dogs from childhood are a shih tzu named Yao-le and a mutt named Bo.

who is making her theatre debut with this show, lives in Henderson, Nevada and is a contractor. She likes to run for health and watch her children’s success at sports. Her family loves their current dogs Millie and Mango, mixed cocker spaniel and Bichon Frise. “I would have loved the clothing back in medieval times and the sense of community.”
