We need your help to make TAFE the best it can be!
There are many ways to get involved with TAFE. Below are a list of our current committees and what they focus on. We are also always looking for people to help on an ad-hoc basis with an event, a show or a specific project like costume organization. Just email Shama at smir@tafepa.org to talk about how to best put your skills to work!
Programs: The committee advises the board on industry trends and strategic challenges relating to the mission of the organization, and assess community needs for programs and services. They ensure that programs are developed and implemented that meet the needs of the community and achieve desired outcomes. They identify key indicators for measuring the quality and success of programs. They track program indicators. They plan and implement strategies to increase awareness and participation in programs.
Communications & Funding Committee: All external issues including fundraising, public relations, and marketing are the responsibility of this committee.
Finance and Facilities: Responsible for overseeing both the financial aspects and the physical infrastructure (facilities) of the entity, typically reviewing budgets, capital expenditures, maintenance plans, and ensuring the efficient use of resources across both financial and facility management areas.
Governance Committee: This committee is responsible for the health and functions of the board. It recruits new members, conducts orientation, produces board materials, and evaluates the performance of the board itself.
Strategy Committee: Objectives are to first clarify TAFE’s unique identity and offerings in the marketplaces of theatre arts, education and community. Then, the committee will work with the TAFE Board and Committees to put these learnings into plans and communications that make them a reality for us and the communities we serve.
